This bespoke fireplace was commissioned for the private residents’ lounge at the prestigious White City Living development, where it serves as a dramatic architectural centrepiece. Set beneath a 5-metre-high ceiling, the installation is crowned by a suspended, stone-clad canopy that responds to the scale and volume of the space.
Fully glass-enclosed, the four-sided island design allows the flickering flames to be viewed from every angle, creating warmth and visual connection throughout the room. A low-level joinery base with a dark stone top grounds the composition and provides a refined material contrast.
This fireplace concept can be tailored to suit a variety of architectural contexts – from alternative cladding finishes to open-fronted configurations. Integrated media solutions, such as incorporating a television within the overhead canopy, can also be accommodated subject to design and technical considerations.
